The SCYEC is sustained through a partnership with the following Sonoma County agencies: the Water Agency, Workforce Investment Board, Human Services Department, and Office of Education, along with the non-profit New Ways to Work, project hosts and five youth agencies that provide daily support to the youth.
By engaging young people in outdoor hands on learning activities, the partners build young people’s environmental awareness and watershed stewardship skills, while improving their work-readiness skills. The partners are committed to providing youth ongoing opportunities to build these skills. The ability to leverage available resources between all the coalition partners ensures the SCYEC can meet these goals and be sustained.
